Dr. Carlin Jones has been a practicing veterinarian for over eight years, primarily specializing in reproduction and preventative medicine, although she enjoys all the varied challenges of equine medicine. Prior to joining the Equine Clinic at
OakenCroft, she practiced equine veterinary medicine in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania and in Saratoga Springs, NY. Throughout her veterinary career, she has given numerous presentations on topics such as equine preventative care and management to both client and professional groups.
Carlin was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Lake Erie College in 1998, and went on to graduate from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 2002. She is also a member of both the American Association of Equine Practitioners and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
An avid horse lover since the age of seven, Carlin is a graduate HA from the United States Pony Club. She has served the equine community as a competitive combined training and dressage rider, instructor and barn manager. Carlin’s non professional interests include riding, cooking, reading, hiking, gardening, and spending time with her husband, two daughters, two cats and one dog. She is thrilled to be joining the Equine Clinical at OakenCroft, and looks forward to becoming a member of a practice that shares the same goal of quality compassionate care for horses and their owners.
