Wellness Program for Geriatric Horses

Our Wellness Program for Geriatric Horses is designed to ensure the quality of life for your older horse in a compassionate and economical fashion. Our veterinarians are made available on specified days to perform wellness exams in each of the surrounding counties, with a standard call charge of $18. The geriatric exam ($125) includes a full physical exam with lateral radiographs of the front feet to assess for signs of disease, such as evidence of present or past laminitis. Consultation is given involving nutrition, pasture/environment management, vaccination protocol, and deworming schedule for the older horse. Your veterinarian may recommend bloodwork to fully assess your old pal, and all medications and services (including bloodwork) is offered at a 10% discount for six months following the examination. Our goal is to enable your horse to receive the optimal care and attention during its golden years as your companion.
