Dr. Julia Wilson, Diplomate, ACVIM, is a large animal internal medicine specialist providing consulting services to veterinary practices and working seasonally for the Minnesota Racing Commission. She served for 15 years as a faculty member and clinician at the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine, and continues to serve as co-advisor of their Student Chapter of theAmerican Association of Equine Practitioners. Dr. Wilson coordinated the veterinary students team assisting veterinarians at the World Equestrian Games in 2010. Previously, she worked in bothprivate practice and as a faculty member at the University of Florida. Her veterinary interests include all aspects of large animal medicine, especially equine infectious diseases, neonatology and preventive medicine. She serves on the Board of Directors of Heifer International and Veterinarians Without Borders US, and is a past member of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. She and her husband, Dr. Tracy Turner, have 2 sons and enjoy riding their horses in the sports of dressage and eventing.
